Sujet
- Background: Tumor susceptibility gene 101 protein (TSG101) is a component of the ESCRT-I complex, a regulator of vesicular trafficking process. TSG101 mediates the association between the ESCRT-0 and ESCRT-I complex. TSG101 binds to ubiquitinated cargo proteins and is required for the sorting of endocytic ubiquitinated cargos into multivesicular bodies (MVBs). TSG101, along with CEP55, is required for completion of cytokinesis [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) Q99816].
